Working with RICS to help improve Israel’s building control and safety standards 20th April 2016

As part of efforts to raise the profile of Aedis, we have been speaking at various events organised by RICS, CABE, CIOB and other private enterprises since 2014.

We then became involved in a RICS training initiative designed to improve Israel’s building control and safety standards (highlighted by the catastrophic collapse of the Versailles Wedding Hall in Jerusalem in 2001).

The 2016 programme is about to start – with an initial contract for 50 days of training between March and September 2016. We have also recently been awarded an additional 10 days.

Mentoring and training at centres in Coventry and Hull, the purpose of the course is to show students how building control is carried out in the UK with an emphasis on site protocol and procedures.

We are delighted to continue our involvement in these initiatives that will provide the foundations for a construction industry built on professional skills and the highest standard of building control.

You can find out more about the training programme on the RICS website or by contacting Steve Davies.
