Aedis is a finalist in the 2017 Buildings Awards 28th July 2017Back
The Building Awards are the UK construction industry’s longest running and most prestigious recognition of excellence. They allow companies across all aspects of building to have their achievements held up as an example to the sector and include outstanding entries across 23 categories.
David Barley, Technical Training Manager for Aedis, has put a lot of work into the NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Building Control which is key to the development of all Aedis trainees. It provides a structured process with modules designed to evidence competency in the workplace.
Because of this dedication and hard work, Aedis entered into the Skills Initiative of the Year category and submitted a 2000-word case for 'Developing Careers in Building Control'.
The Skills Initiative of the Year category rewards those who have invested in the training and skills needed to create a construction workforce that will support the industry’s needs today and in the future, creating a sector which is technically skilled, technologically advanced and is able to attract future talent.
We are delighted that Aedis has been selected as a finalist alongside other companies including Larkfleet & GPUTC, ISG, Monier Redland and Ryder Architecture.
All winners will be announced at the awards ceremony which will be held on Tuesday 7 November 2017 at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
